UPDATE: THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED DUE TO THE ONGOING COVID19 PANDEMIC...
Rockin' Luke Stroud with his band the Fifties Beat will rock the stage at this year's Cave City Watermelon Festival July 25, 2020 beginning at Noon!
Stroud is known around Northeast Arkansas for his flamboyant Jerry Lee Lewis-style of early rock'n'roll. "My parents bought me a little piano when I was about 10 months old so I guess I've always been a piano player, but when I was 9 years old my parents bought me a Jerry Lee (Lewis) cassette tape and I've been hooked on 'real' rock'n'roll ever since," Stroud said excitedly!
"I love to play for my hometown of Cave City! I've played in Branson, Tunica, World famous Beale street and even onstage at the legendary Louisiana Hayride! Been featured in the international magazine Blue Suede News and in it several times," Stroud said with gusto.
The Fifties Beat this year will consist of Brian Stuhr on guitar, Mike Rudy on bass and Ricky Copeland on drums. "They are rock'n'roll," Stroud said.
